Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information FocusQuadrant collects, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. We keep this as plain-language as possible.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account information

When you sign up we collect your email address and (optionally) a display name. This is used to authenticate you, to send you account-related emails, and to identify you within shared projects.

1.2 Task and project data

Everything you create inside FocusQuadrant — task titles, notes, due dates, tags, quadrant assignments, project names — is stored in our database so it is available across your devices. This data belongs to you (see Section 5).

1.3 Subscription and billing data

We store your subscription status and billing period dates. Payment card details are handled entirely by DodoPayments and are never seen or stored by us.

1.3a AI feature — data leaving our servers

When you click the AI suggestion button, the task title you have typed is transmitted to a third-party AI provider to generate a quadrant suggestion. Do not type sensitive information — such as passwords, financial account details, government ID numbers, or medical information — into task titles if you intend to use the AI feature. Notes, due dates, tags, and all other task fields are never sent to any AI provider.

1.4 Usage analytics

We record two types of in-app events to improve the Service:

• AI suggestion events — when you use the AI quadrant suggestion feature we record the task title, the suggested quadrant, the confidence score, and whether you accepted, queued, or skipped the suggestion. This is also used to enforce the monthly usage limit.
• Focus session events — when you use the Pomodoro focus timer we record the task title, quadrant, session number, phase (focus / short break / long break), duration, and whether the phase was completed.

These records are linked to your user ID. They are append-only and are never sold or shared with advertisers.

1.5 Cookies

We use strictly necessary session cookies to keep you logged in and to cache your subscription status (to reduce database load). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the Service — storing and syncing your tasks, projects, and settings across devices.
• To authenticate you — verifying your identity on each login.
• To manage your subscription — tracking billing status and enforcing access based on your plan.
• To power AI features — sending your task title to our AI provider to generate a quadrant suggestion.
• To enforce usage limits — counting AI suggestion events per calendar month.
• To improve the Service — analysing aggregated usage patterns from focus sessions and AI events.
• To send you service emails — account verification, billing receipts, and important notices. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following sub-processors, only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and app data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

Anonymised, aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely to improve the Service.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your account and associated data.
• Export — download all your tasks and projects at any time via Settings → Data → Export CSV.
• Objection — object to certain uses of your data.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit.
• Row-Level Security (RLS) policies in our database so users can only access their own data.
• Server-side authentication verification on all protected routes.
• Webhook signature verification to validate all payment events.

No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly by emailing contact@eisenhowermatrix.tech.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

8. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. By using the Service you consent to the processing of your data in India.
